Best Hotels with Indoor Pools in Nice for Families (2026)
7 family-friendly hotels with indoor pool in Nice . Handpicked for families who want the best.
The French Riviera sells sunshine, but Nice gets 12 rainy days in July and temperatures drop below swimming comfort by mid-October. An indoor pool at your hotel means your kids swim every single day, rain or mistral. Nice has 5 hotels with genuine indoor pools open to families, and they range from a 135 EUR/night apart-hotel near the airport to 5-star palaces topping 1,200 EUR. Every hotel on this page has a real enclosed pool, not a glorified jacuzzi marketed as a 'plunge pool.' If you're visiting in summer and want outdoor options too, check our beach-access hotels in Nice. But if you're planning an off-season trip, or simply want a guaranteed swim regardless of weather, these are your five options.
Nice is walkable with kids if you pick the right neighbourhood. For more indoor pool options in southern Europe, check our Lisbon indoor pool hotels. The Promenade des Anglais is flat, wide, and stroller-friendly for its entire 7km stretch. Tram Line 1 connects the airport to the old town in 30 minutes (1.50 EUR, kids under 4 free). The Vieux Nice (old town) has gelato shops on every corner and the Cours Saleya market runs daily except Monday. For a playground break, the Promenade du Paillon park has free water jets, climbing structures, and a giant mirror labyrinth that kids love. Nice is also a base for day trips: Monaco is 20 minutes by train, Antibes has the Marineland aquarium, and Èze has the hilltop Jardin Exotique with views that justify the stroller-unfriendly climb. If relaxation is your priority, our spa hotels in Nice cover the best hammam and wellness options.

🏊Why indoor pool hotels matter on the French Riviera
Indoor pools in Nice are almost exclusively a 5-star feature. Unlike Paris or Vienna where 4-star boutique hotels regularly include pools, Nice's hospitality market assumes guests want the beach. The five hotels here are the exceptions, and they range from a converted Belle Époque palace (Boscolo) to a 17th-century convent (Hotel du Couvent) to the most famous hotel on the Riviera (Le Negresco). The one affordable option, Nemea near the airport, is a solid apart-hotel with a clean indoor pool, but it lacks the spa grandeur of the others.
Pool access policies vary. The Maison Albar Le Victoria includes pool access in the room rate. At Le Negresco, the Club Dauphin complex (indoor pool, outdoor pool, private beach) costs extra unless you book certain room categories. Hotel du Couvent's Roman baths are open to all guests but operate on a scheduled rotation. Always confirm pool access when you book, because a 1,000 EUR per night room that charges another 50 EUR for the pool is annoying.
The real value proposition for indoor pool hotels in Nice is off-season travel. October through April, outdoor pools and beaches are either closed or too cold. An indoor pool keeps your family trip viable year-round, and hotel prices drop 40-60% outside July and August. A November stay at the Boscolo with indoor pool access runs closer to 300 EUR per night, which is genuine value for a 5-star property. For comparison, Vienna indoor pool hotels start under 200 EUR year-round.
Parent's take
We visited Nice in October with a 5-year-old and an 8-year-old, specifically because we wanted beach-town vibes without the summer crowds. The pebble beach was too cold for swimming by mid-morning. Having an indoor pool at the hotel turned what could have been a disappointing trip into a highlight. The kids swam before breakfast, again after lunch while we had coffee by the pool, and once more before dinner. Mornings we explored Vieux Nice and the Cours Saleya flower market, afternoons were pool time, evenings were socca and gelato on the promenade. The pool was the anchor that made the whole schedule work.

Hotel Le Negresco
Promenade des Anglais
Wonderful
1,506 reviews
Le Negresco runs a "Happy Family" package with organized activities for children including beach outings, water-skiing initiation, and seasonal shows. There is no formal daily kids club, but the concierge arranges tailored activities and babysitting is always available. The private beach across the road has sunbeds and a kids section during summer.

Why families love Hotel Le Negresco
The Negresco feels like stepping into a museum, which made us nervous with two kids. But the staff were brilliant. They set up a treasure hunt through the hotel for the kids on the first day, and the private beach had a roped-off shallow area where they could splash safely. The Happy Family package included breakfast for the kids and a surprise gift in the room. At 1,100+ EUR per night it is a splurge, but the experience was unlike any other hotel we have stayed at.

Maison Albar - Le Victoria
Promenade des Anglais
Wonderful
516 reviews
Maison Albar Le Victoria does not have a formal kids club, but it excels at family-friendly service. The hotel runs a **kid-friendly buffet** at breakfast, provides dedicated children's meals, and its private beach across the Promenade has shallow water and sunbeds. The staff arranges babysitting with 24h notice and the concierge organizes family activities like boat trips and visits to Marineland.

Why families love Maison Albar - Le Victoria
What sold us on Le Victoria was the private beach situation. The hotel is right on Promenade des Anglais and the beach across the road has a kids-friendly section with staff. Breakfast was a production with a separate kids buffet corner that had pancakes, fruit, and chocolate milk. Our 7-year-old rated the pancakes 10 out of 10. The concierge booked us a family catamaran trip and it was the best day of the holiday. No kids club, but the personalized service made up for it.

Wonderful
309 reviews
The only hotel in Nice with a dedicated, supervised kids club. The program runs daily during summer holidays (July 5 to August 31) in the hotel's converted convent garden, with arts, crafts, and outdoor games for **ages 4-12**. Outside of summer, babysitting is available on request. The hotel also has an indoor play area with board games.

Why families love Hôtel du Couvent, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Nice
We stayed here in late July and the kids club was the highlight for our 6 and 9-year-old. They joined a group of about 8 kids, did painting in the garden, and played group games supervised by two staff members. The club runs from 10am to 12:30pm and 2pm to 5pm. We used the morning session to visit the Chagall Museum without anyone complaining. The room was enormous and the breakfast buffet included everything our picky eaters needed.

Hotel Palais de la Méditerranée - Hyatt Unbound
Promenade des Anglais
Excellent
986 reviews
A 5-star Hyatt Unbound Collection hotel at **13 Promenade des Anglais** with **2 swimming pools** (one indoor, one outdoor), a private beach area, and babysitting services. The only central Nice hotel with both indoor and outdoor pools, which makes it the safest pool bet for off-season trips.
From
€900/night
Why families love Hotel Palais de la Méditerranée - Hyatt Unbound
This is the only central Nice hotel we could find with both an indoor and outdoor pool. The outdoor pool on the 7th floor has a partial sea view and kids ran between the two for hours. Family Suites (45 sqm) fit 2+2 comfortably. Private beach area across the Promenade is included and has kids menus. At 900 EUR/night it's a splurge, but the double-pool insurance against bad weather is real.

Boscolo Nice Hotel & Spa
Carré d'Or, Victor Hugo
Very Good
1,359 reviews
The Boscolo occupies a Belle Époque palace on Boulevard Victor Hugo with an indoor heated pool in the basement spa, plus a seasonal rooftop pool with city views. The spa covers two levels with hammam, sauna, treatment rooms, and a solarium. The indoor pool is the draw for off-season visitors: heated to 28°C, open year-round.
From
€724/night
Why families love Boscolo Nice Hotel & Spa
The Boscolo surprised us. The Belle Époque lobby is grand but the staff were completely relaxed about our kids running through it. The indoor pool downstairs is proper — not huge, but heated and quiet on a Tuesday afternoon. Our daughter spent an hour there while we took turns in the hammam next door. Rooftop pool is a bonus in summer. Location on Victor Hugo means a 10-minute walk to the Promenade and 5 minutes to the tram. Breakfast buffet had proper croissants and fresh juice, not the packaged stuff.

Hotel Nice Riviera
City Centre
Good
4,692 reviews
A 4-star hotel on **rue Pastorelli**, central Nice, with one of the very few **indoor pools** in the city. Open year-round, the basement pool and sauna combo is the reason families book here in April or November when outdoor pools are drained. Private check-in, 120 rooms, no frills.
From
€300/night
Why families love Hotel Nice Riviera
The location is perfect for a tram-and-walk trip: 4 minutes to Place Masséna, 8 minutes to the beach. Rooms are small by modern standards but air-conditioned and quiet. The indoor pool is compact (around 8m) but it saved our rainy April afternoon — my 5-year-old spent two hours there while I read in the sauna. Breakfast is charged extra at 17 EUR/adult.

Nemea Appart Hotel Nice Arenas Aéroport
Arenas, Airport Area
Good
1,572 reviews
The Nemea has a proper indoor pool on-site, heated year-round, plus a sauna and jacuzzi. Apartments come with kitchenettes, which cuts restaurant spending significantly. The pool area is compact but clean, and children swim without restrictions during opening hours.
From
€135/night
Why families love Nemea Appart Hotel Nice Arenas Aéroport
We stayed four nights with two kids and the kitchenette saved us easily 200 EUR on meals. The indoor pool is not fancy, maybe 10 metres, but the kids went in every day. It's near the airport so you hear planes, but honestly the kids thought that was exciting. Tram Line 2 to the old town takes 25 minutes and drops you near the beach. For 135 EUR a night with a pool and a full kitchen, you won't find better value in Nice.
💡How to choose the right indoor pool hotel in Nice
- 1Book October or April for the best value. Indoor pool hotels in Nice drop to 40-60% of summer rates, and the weather is still warm enough (18-22°C) for outdoor sightseeing. You just won't swim in the sea.
- 2The Nemea Appart Hotel (135 EUR/night) is the only budget option with an indoor pool in Nice. It is near the airport, not the old town, but Tram Line 2 connects you to the centre in 25 minutes. Good for families who care more about the pool than the view.
- 3Ask about pool access charges before booking. Le Negresco's Club Dauphin complex is not included in all room rates. The Boscolo and Maison Albar include pool access for all guests.
- 4Bring swim shoes for Nice's pebble beaches. If you combine an indoor pool hotel with beach days, your feet will thank you. The Promenade des Anglais beaches are free but pebbly.
- 5For day trips, the Train des Merveilles runs from Nice to the mountain village of Tende through dramatic alpine scenery. It costs 14 EUR return and takes 2 hours. Perfect for a non-beach day. If you are heading north, Lyon has indoor pool hotels from 157 EUR/night and is 2 hours by TGV. Meanwhile, the indoor pool hotels in Paris feel too far north.
