Peschiera del Garda is the practical base: train station on the Milan-Venice line (Gardaland runs a free shuttle from the station), UNESCO-listed Venetian walls, flat lakefront promenade that works with strollers. Three paid parks are within a 10km radius of each other. Gardaland (Castelnuovo del Garda, 5km from Peschiera) runs April to early January, tickets 45-65 EUR for adults, under-100cm enter free.
