Paphos Hotels with Water Slides, by Age

Paphos has one large public water park, the Paphos Aphrodite Waterpark, off Poseidonos Avenue in Geroskipou, and the hotels around it decide how easy a slide day is. With children under 12, an adult must stay with them in the park, so what matters is how far you walk back with tired children, and whether the hotel has smaller slides for the days in between. That is why I sort these hotels by distance to the park gates and by what their own pools offer at each age.

Leonardo Cypria Bay, rated 8.8 by 2,598 guests, is the hotel I would choose for two kinds of water day. On site, a pirate-themed activity pool with slides and sprinklers is for children accompanied by an adult. The public water park is 0.8 km away, the second-closest hotel on this page. The kids' club takes children from 4 to 12, and a Teens Club has arcade games, Xbox and table football. The sister hotel's water park, at Leonardo Laura Beach & Splash Resort, is open to guests at a charge, so I would treat it as an outing rather than a daily option.

Kapetanios Aqua Resort is the only hotel here with a full slide park of its own: six water slides and a lazy river, around which the Coral Bay hotel opened under the Kapetanios name in June 2024, with 149 renovated rooms. Some slides and rides have height or weight restrictions, so check them against your children before the trip. The drawback is distance: the Aphrodite Waterpark is 13 km away, which means a car or a taxi. Its 8.0 rating rests on only 210 reviews, because the hotel is so recent.

Mayfair Hotel & Gardens, in Kato Paphos 1.7 km from the harbour castle, has the Aqua Splash, a children's splash park with small slides shared by guests of the Mayfair Hotel and the Mayfair Gardens. It is a play area for younger children rather than a thrill park, which suits a family whose oldest is under ten. The hotel publishes no age range for it, and one tour-operator listing prints 4 to 12, so I would not count on it for a child under 4. The public park is 3.4 km away, the farthest of the Kato Paphos hotels, and the hotel sits back from the seafront.

Olympic Lagoon Resort, rated 9.2 by 385 guests, has five themed pools, with waterslides. Its clubs go by age: a crèche from 6 months to 3 years, Little Monsters for 3 to 12, and a Teenz Club for teenagers. It stands 1.5 km from the water park on Poseidonos Avenue, close enough to walk with children who are not yet tired. An adults-only wing has its own pool that family-room guests cannot use, so the family pools carry all the children of the resort. Nightly family entertainment is included in the stay, with seven musical shows.

Before promising a ten-year-old the Kamikaze, read the rules of the Aphrodite Waterpark. Children under 12 are not allowed in without an adult, and under-fives should wear armbands, which parents bring. According to Guide to Paphos, children of 3 to 11 wear a red wristband that bars some slides: Free Fall, with its drop of about 50 feet, Kamikaze, Cannon Drop and Aqua Infinity are for 12 and over, and slides such as Adventure, Wet Bubble and Crazy Cone need 120 cm. For small children, the Kids Pool, the mile-long Lazy River and Family Rafting are the realistic plan.

Three hotels on this page need a caveat. Constantinou Bros Asimina Suites, 0.6 km from the park gates and the closest hotel to them, is adults-only, for guests aged 16 and over on most booking platforms, so it suits no family with younger children. Apollonia Hotel Apartments, in Kato Paphos, 2.5 km from the park, has apartments and a pool with a shaded play area for young children, but no slides. Elysia Park, 2.6 km away, has a children's pool and a playground, without slides either. Neither is a slide hotel, and I would choose them only for self-catering or a quieter base.
