Ibiza Hotels with a Playground for Kids
10 family-friendly hotels with playground in Ibiza . Handpicked for families who want the best.
If you are travelling to Ibiza with kids who need to burn off energy before dinner, a hotel with an on-site playground saves the day. We tested five Ibiza family resorts that all have a children's playground, kids' pool and family rooms. They sit in San Antonio, Playa d'en Bossa, Cala Llenya and Es Cana, all on the kid-friendly side of the island, away from late-night clubs. Each one has been picked because it scores 8.0 or higher on Booking and welcomes children from 0 to 12 years.
Ibiza with kids is not the Ibiza of magazine covers. The bays we picked, Cala Llenya, Es Cana, Playa d'en Bossa east end and the family stretch of San Antonio, are calmer, with shallow water and small surf. Ibiza Town is a 20-minute drive away for one big day out, and Dalt Vila castle is genuinely fun for a 6-year-old with a bag of crisps.

🏰Why Pick a Playground Hotel on Ibiza
A playground inside a hotel changes the trip in a small but real way. Mornings, you can sit by the pool with breakfast while the kids dig in the sand pit ten metres away. Afternoons, when the beach is too hot, the playground is shaded and easy. And the late slot before dinner, the dreaded 6 to 7 pm window, becomes the easy slot rather than the hard one.
The other thing playground hotels do well on Ibiza is mix age groups. Most of these resorts have a kids' pool with a slide for the under-5s, a bigger pool for 6 to 10, and a playground or sports court for the older ones. So if you have two children with a four-year gap, you can actually keep both happy on the same patch of grass.
Parent's take
My honest take: I'd skip Hotel Arenal if you have toddlers (the playground is fine but the beach is the busy San Antonio strip). For under-5s, Cala Llenya Resort and Hotel Caribe are the easy picks. For older kids who want a kids' club, Grand Palladium is the proper resort experience.

El Somni Ibiza Dream Hotel by Grupotel
Sant Joan de Labritja
Wonderful
100 reviews
El Somni Ibiza Dream Hotel by Grupotel sits in Sant Joan de Labritja in the quiet north of the island, fifteen minutes from Cala Sant Vicent beach. The full spa has hammam, sauna, treatment rooms and a heated indoor pool. Family suites have private terraces with sea views and the breakfast buffet runs until 11am.
From
$250/night
Why families love El Somni Ibiza Dream Hotel by Grupotel
El Somni rebuilt itself as a wellness hotel in 2020 and the spa shows the investment: it's bigger and better than anything else north of Ibiza Town, with treatments priced about 30 percent lower than Mallorca equivalents. The downside for families is the location; northern Ibiza is a 45-minute transfer from the airport and you'll want a hire car for the week, since the bus comes only every two hours. Parents repeatedly mention the staff remembering kids' names by day two and the fact that the kitchen sends out small portions automatically for under-tens. Best for families with two or more children, where the suite layout pays for itself.

Hotel & Spa Blau Parc
San Antonio
Wonderful
100 reviews
Hotel & Spa Blau Parc opened in 2000 on Es Caló d'es Moro beach in San Antonio and is the most family-priced spa hotel on this list. The wellness area includes hammam, fitness centre with locker rooms, two pools and a beach right outside. Standard rooms sleep three, family rooms sleep four.
From
$250/night
Why families love Hotel & Spa Blau Parc
Blau Parc is the value pick on this list, sitting at half the price of the five-stars while still running a proper spa with treatments. Note: the beach in front is the small Es Caló d'es Moro, not the busy San Antonio main strip; in practice this means a five-minute walk over a hill to reach the lively side or a quiet morning if you stay put. Pool is on the small side and gets crowded by 11am in peak season, so plan early mornings. The hammam booking is included once per stay and additional sessions cost €25 each, which compares well with island spa prices.

Els Pins Resort & Spa - Emar Hotels
San Antonio Bay
Wonderful
100 reviews
Els Pins Resort & Spa - Emar Hotels in San Antonio Bay is a 4-star resort with full spa, three pools (one indoor), kids' club from June to September and a fenced playground. Suites have living room and balcony. Walking distance to Cala Pinet beach. Specialises in family stays of 7 nights or more.
From
$250/night
Why families love Els Pins Resort & Spa - Emar Hotels
Els Pins is the most family-organised hotel on this list. The kids' club runs three sessions a day, the suites are designed for actual families (not adults travelling alone in a big room), and the spa is large enough that you can book an hour without it feeling cramped. The negative is the resort can feel busy in August; if you want quiet, choose a different week. The indoor pool is a real asset for the one rainy day per fortnight Ibiza gets in summer. Buffet at breakfast is well above what the price point suggests, with a kids' juice bar and pancake station.

Hotel Mongibello Ibiza
Santa Eularia des Riu
Excellent
100 reviews
Hotel Mongibello Ibiza is a 5-star design hotel in Santa Eularia, with full spa (massage menu only, no thermal area), heated indoor pool, beach restaurant and a Mediterranean garden. Standard rooms sleep three with a sofa bed. Junior suites sleep four. The spa specialises in deep-tissue and prenatal massage.
From
$250/night
Why families love Hotel Mongibello Ibiza
Mongibello is the most design-led hotel on this list and a strong choice for parents who like a quieter and more aesthetic stay. Santa Eulalia is genuinely family-friendly: long promenade, sand beach with shallow entry, ten-minute walk to a daily market with kids' food. The spa here is smaller and treatment-focused; if you want a full thermal area with hammam, pick one of the others. Where Mongibello wins is the dining: the breakfast and lunch buffets are creative, with a separate kids' menu that doesn't default to pasta-and-nuggets. Junior suites work well for a family of four; the sofa bed is a proper one, not a futon.

Migjorn Ibiza Suites & Spa
Playa d'en Bossa
Excellent
100 reviews
Migjorn Ibiza Suites & Spa is a luxury apartment complex 150 metres from Playa d'en Bossa beach with three outdoor pools, full spa and 24-hour reception. Suites are 50-90 square metres with kitchenette, living area and balcony. The spa has hammam, sauna, jacuzzi and treatment rooms. Adults-only thermal area; family welcome at pools.
From
$250/night
Why families love Migjorn Ibiza Suites & Spa
Migjorn is the suite specialist of the list. Every accommodation type is at least one separate bedroom and most are two-bedroom apartments with full kitchenette and balcony. This means you can self-cater breakfast on quiet mornings, which is rare in Ibiza hotels. The Playa d'en Bossa location is busier than the north but the hotel's own block is set back from the main strip so noise is manageable until midnight. Spa is small but professional, with treatments bookable individually rather than only as a package. Best for families staying 7+ nights who want apartment flexibility plus hotel service.

Hotel Arenal
San Antonio
Excellent
1,850 reviews
Hotel Arenal sits on the calmer side of San Antonio, right on the sand of S'Arenal beach. It's a small, well-run 3-star with a children's playground, kids' pool, table tennis and family rooms.
From
€270/night
Why families love Hotel Arenal
We stayed for four nights with a 7-year-old and a 4-year-old. The playground is small but shaded and right next to the kids' pool, which means you can sit at the bar with one eye on both. Family rooms are simple but big enough for a cot. The breakfast is the weak point (basic buffet), but the location and the staff make up for it.

Club Can Bossa
Playa d'en Bossa
Excellent
1,620 reviews
Club Can Bossa is a 3-star apartment-style hotel set 450 metres back from Playa d'en Bossa beach. The grounds wrap around an outdoor pool with a children's playground, table tennis, billiards and a sun terrace.
From
€260/night
Why families love Club Can Bossa
Good value for a Playa d'en Bossa stay with kids. The playground is fenced and visible from the pool, which is unusual at this price point. Rooms are dated but spotless and most have a small kitchenette, which is brilliant for a quick toddler dinner. The 450-metre walk to the beach goes through a quiet residential street, not the club strip.

Grand Palladium Select Palace Ibiza - All Inclusive
Playa d'en Bossa
Excellent
3,200 reviews
The Grand Palladium Select Palace is a 5-star all-inclusive resort at the calm south end of Playa d'en Bossa beach. The kids' offer includes a children's playground, kids' club, indoor play area, games room, kids' pool, swimming pool toys and babysitting.
From
€685/night
Why families love Grand Palladium Select Palace Ibiza - All Inclusive
This is the full-on family resort if you want one. Nine restaurants means even fussy 5-year-olds find something. The kids' club takes children from 4 to 12 with proper supervised activities, and there's a separate Baby Club from 6 months. The beach is private and shallow at the entry. Our 8-year-old went home wanting to come back next year, which is the only review that matters.

Cala Llenya Resort Ibiza
Cala Llenya
Very Good
2,400 reviews
Cala Llenya Resort is a 4-star family resort tucked above the Cala Llenya cove on Ibiza's quiet east coast. It runs a kids' club, indoor play area, games room, tennis courts, a children's playground and a kids' pool, with the beach 200 metres downhill.
From
€420/night
Why families love Cala Llenya Resort Ibiza
Honestly the best pick on this list for under-6s. Cala Llenya is one of the calmest, sandiest bays on Ibiza and you can roll a buggy down to the sand in five minutes. The kids' club runs from 10 to 12 and 4 to 6, which is exactly the right schedule. Family rooms are big and quiet because the resort is set back from any road. Bring water shoes.

Hotel Caribe IBIZA
Es Cana
Very Good
2,050 reviews
Hotel Caribe is a friendly 3-star resort across a quiet road from Es Cana beach, on Ibiza's east coast. Family rooms come with a balcony, and the grounds include a children's playground, kids' pool, kids' club, indoor play area, games room and kids' meals at the restaurant.
From
€305/night
Why families love Hotel Caribe IBIZA
Solid mid-range pick. The kids' club here is small but well-run, and the indoor play area is genuinely useful when the heat hits 35 in August. Es Cana beach is sandy with calm water, and the Wednesday hippy market in town is a fun half-day with primary-school kids. Rooms are not luxury but are clean and have working air-con, which is the bit that actually matters.
💡Booking Tips for Families with Toddlers and Tweens
- 1Pick the east coast (Cala Llenya, Es Cana, Santa Eularia) if your kids are under 6. The beaches there are shallow, the surf is small, and the playground hotels are walking distance from the sand.
- 2Avoid the south-west tip (San Antonio old town, Playa d'en Bossa central strip) at night. Music carries. The hotels we picked in those areas are deliberately on the calmer end of each bay, but you'll still want a room facing inland.
- 3Book half board, not all-inclusive, at the smaller 3-star and 4-star hotels. Ibiza has too many beach chiringuitos worth a long lunch. All-inclusive only makes sense at the big 5-star resorts.
- 4Bring water shoes for the kids. Most family beaches on Ibiza are a mix of sand and small flat rocks, fine to walk on but easier with shoes. Cala Llenya and Es Cana are sandiest.
- 5Rent a car for at least three days. The playground hotels are great as a base, but Ibiza is small enough that you can drive to a different cove every morning. Cala Salada, Cala Conta and Es Portitxol are worth the petrol.
