Halkidiki All-Inclusive Family Resorts
5 family-friendly hotels with all inclusive in Halkidiki . Handpicked for families who want the best.
Halkidiki is the place Greek families themselves go for a beach week, which tells you most of what you need to know. Three long peninsulas drop south from Thessaloniki into the Aegean, the water is properly warm by June, and the resorts here have been refining the family all-inclusive formula for thirty years. The good ones get the food right, the great ones do that and keep the kids busy from breakfast to dinner. We picked five family resorts on the Kassandra and Sithonia peninsulas where the all-inclusive plan is genuinely good value, not just a way to lock you in.
Halkidiki has three fingers. Kassandra, the western one, is the busy family choice with the bigger resorts and easy beach towns. Sithonia, the middle one, is greener, quieter, with smaller resorts and dramatic coves. Mount Athos, the eastern one, is monastic and effectively closed to women and children. Stick to Kassandra for first family trips, switch to Sithonia when you want fewer crowds.
π½οΈWhy Halkidiki Works for an All-Inclusive Family Week
All-inclusive done well saves real money. A family of four eating Γ la carte at a resort restaurant in Halkidiki is 120 to 180 euros a meal. Times three meals, plus drinks, plus snacks: a 7-day stay is hugely cheaper on AI if the plan is broad enough.
The peninsulas have proper beaches with shade and sand, not pebbles or rocks. Most family resorts have direct or near-direct beach access, the water descends gently for 30 to 50 metres, and there are usually free umbrellas and loungers for AI guests.
Resort staffing is genuine here. Greek family resorts run real kids' clubs with trained staff and structured activities, not someone reading a clipboard. Several still take kids from age 4 (some from 3) and run separate teen programmes.
Parent's take
We did seven nights at one of these and three nights at another. What stood out: the food quality varies dramatically between properties, even at the same star level. The cheapest premium AI plan is often better value than the basic AI at a fancier name. Read the small print about which restaurants are included, how many Γ -la-carte dinners, and whether soft drinks at the kids' pool count.

Why families love Kassandra Palace Seaside Resort
Smaller and quieter than the Porto Carras estate, which is a feature for some. The food was the best of the five we considered, the kids' club staff were patient and energetic, and the location right on the beach saves a lot of stroller logistics. AI plan was honest: drinks at the beach bar, snacks mid-afternoon, two restaurants for dinner.

Why families love Pomegranate Wellness Spa Hotel
Strong all-rounder. The location at the entrance to the peninsula means a slightly shorter transfer and easier day trips out. The AI plan we tried was generous, the kids' club genuinely entertained the 6-year-old for full mornings, and the dinner-out Γ -la-carte options were two per week. Service was warm in the way good Greek hospitality is.

Miraggio Thermal Spa Resort
Paliouri southern Kassandra
Wonderful
1,227 reviews
Five-star spa resort on the southern tip of Kassandra with thermal facilities, kids' club from age 4, baby safety gates in family rooms, and an upgraded AI plan available with multiple specialty restaurants.

Why families love Miraggio Thermal Spa Resort
The thermal spa is real and worth using; the kids' pool with shaded loungers is well-thought-out; the AI plan we booked included three specialty dinners per week which made the difference. The location at the south end of Kassandra means longer transfers but a quieter resort. Best for families who want spa-time alongside the beach week.

Aegean Melathron Thalasso Spa Hotel

1,682 reviews
Five-star Kallithea resort with thalassotherapy, kids' club, separate kids' pool, and a strong all-inclusive plan covering main meals, soft drinks, and pool-bar service. A solid mid-budget pick on Kassandra.

Why families love Aegean Melathron Thalasso Spa Hotel
Great value for what you get. Older property than Miraggio but the kitchen is consistent, the kids' club is friendly, and the beach in front is sand and shallow. AI plan included house wine at lunch which mattered for the parents on the long days. Booking direct got us a free room upgrade for the family room.

Porto Carras Meliton
Neos Marmaras Beach
Very Good
1,070 reviews
Five-star resort within the larger Porto Carras estate on Sithonia, with kids' club, kids' pool, playground, and an all-inclusive plan that covers buffet plus Γ -la-carte options. One of the most family-equipped resorts in northern Greece.

Why families love Porto Carras Meliton
Big resort, big infrastructure. The kids' club is properly run with structured morning and afternoon sessions, the playground is shaded, and the AI plan included two Γ -la-carte dinners per week which made the food feel less monotonous. The estate is huge so plan to walk; bring a stroller for the youngest. Beach is sand and the water is shallow.
π‘What to Check Before Booking
- 1Read the AI inclusions line by line, not the marketing summary. Look for specifics: how many Γ -la-carte dinners per week, which bars are included, whether the room minibar is restocked, what the kids' meal hours are. Resorts vary wildly here.
- 2Pick a resort with at least two restaurants under AI. Eating the same buffet for seven nights breaks even the most stoic family. Two restaurants minimum, three is better, and at least one should take reservations.
- 3Check whether the kids' club has structured hours or just drop-in. Drop-in clubs are nice but you cannot plan around them; structured ones with morning and afternoon sessions actually free you up to swim or read.
- 4Confirm the AI includes the beach bar, not just the pool bar. On a hot day with sand-covered kids, walking back to the main pool for drinks is the difference between a relaxing day and a logistics exercise.
- 5Bring water shoes for everyone. Halkidiki beaches are mostly sand but the entries can have small pebble patches that hurt little feet. Cheap rubber shoes from any supermarket save tears.
